NUNS // Champion Showcase, CMJ Music Marathon 2014

We sat down with Hank Hanewinkel III, the mastermind behind CMJ 2014 performing artist Nuns, on the evening of their set at the Bowery Ballroom as a part of Champion’s official CMJ showcase with The Kills, Moon Duo and Slothrust. Hanewinkel told us all about Nuns’ transition from a solo project into a full band, the songwriting process, and the cover bands of his youth.
