It can obviously go faster. I remember multiple analysis came out after the first run. Misha has clocked it on a dry track at 6:38 on a private testing day of Mercedes, which is almost 10 seconds faster than the previous record 20.8 km run. I guess amg doesn't really need a faster time with this car so they don't do an official run for the second time.

The suspension on the AMG One is an engineering masterpiece. This is an incredibly bumpy and uneven track. The 919 Evo onboard looked like it would shake its drivers brain to jelly. The AMG One hardly seems to notice most bumps and stays flat on the roll despite that.

Not sure, there are illogical times where the flaps popped up, on-throttle. I suspect it's automatic, for car balance purposes, doubt he would press buttons to hamper his speed.

Looks like they are open when braking and turning. Figuring when the wheels are turned then more air is being forced into the wheel wells. When he straightens out then the flaps close. Just my observation.

You can see the car was de-rating the electric power on the uphill section after Bergwerk, and on the Dottinger Hohe straight, the car started to decelerate even on full throttle. This is what happen when almost half of the power output is from the battery.

@@mvpdustin843 No, those are the current f1 engine output. The engine they use in AMG One is from 2015/2016 season, which has been detuned so it can last 50,000km instead of ~5000km in f1 spec. Plus 2 additional motors at the front axle. As the guy above said, it's almost 50:50 ratio

Der 911 wird das defintiv nicht schaffen. Da wird ne neue Klasse kommen müssen. Das schnellste Auto von Porsche ist der gt2 rs mit einer 6:43. Also muss der 992.2 gt2 rs ganze 15 Sekunden schneller sein als der aktuelle. Schwierig. Vielleicht ein 992.2 GT2RS MR, aber dieser ist ja dann auch nicht von Porsche.

Yeah definitely areas for improvement and suspension tuning. Problem is as humans we are not consistent enough, so on one lap a corner will be taken a certain way, then the next lap the same corner will be taken slightly different due to whatever factors involved. It will be extremely hard to improve that time now without taking unnecessary risks.

I doubt that they are mapped for every turn but it seems like the speed the close at is not always the same. They could come out under braking and close depending on the energy deployment.

Sind die Motoren eigentlich mittels mapping leistungsgesteigert bei Testfahrten. Und ist die Abgasnachbehandlung deaktiviert für mehr Leitung bei diesen Rekordfahrten. Was wird alles angepasst?

Nein, die Autos sind im absoluten serienzustand, insofern man bei diesem Auto von Serie sprechen kann. Das prüft auch der TÜV vorher. Kannst du im AMG Video zu dieser Rekordfahrt sehen.

I think I read the electric motor takes over during shifts so their in no drop in power making fast shifts less important

Yes it is a single clutch sytem that has torque-fill engineered between gear changes, no loss in power or torque inbetween shifts. Shifts are 'slower' but overall speed (when measured) is faster than any dct. Gearbox is also lighter.
