How to fix the input problem in ST4? for example num1 = input("Enter a number : ") num2 = input("Enter a number : ") result = float(num1)+ float (num2) print(result) But no result print out from ST4... :(

Builds in Sublime don't support input; the output panel just displays output. However you can use the Terminus package to add this functionality; There's a video on the channel that covers it; feel free to ask questions if you need further help setting it up. kzbin.info/www/bejne/m6Wse4CMftuJnck

hi thanks for the videos..have a question..how do u setup terminus in sublime text 4..same way that you have expained in one of your older videos from March 2nd 2020..copy python build and create a new file with target as "terminus_open"??
@OdatNurd3 жыл бұрын
Yep; nothing has changed in that regard. The only thing that's different about this is that the default build system for Python is slightly different in ST4; that affects build systems and not Terminus though.

@@OdatNurd great...i've watched " Make any build system interactive with Terminus!" now terminus is working flawlessly..cheers...

I have a problem with running python in sublime. If I do not Save my .py file first, it will not run any new code that I've entered. I'm constantly having to save then build. On my other computer, it just runs the new code I enter without me having to save it. Please help, thanks.

Make sure that "Tools > Save All on Build" is checked; that will make Sublime auto-save any file when a build starts, so long as the file has a name on disk (i.e. you have saved it at least once yourself if it's new or you opened an existing file).

Are you by any chance able to make a time machine to give me back the three hours I spent delving into the realms of virtual machines before you told me to make sure Python was installed into my PATH? Thanks for the help!

Hi, I’m new to programming and just started using ST4 thru your tutorials. I learned thru your ST4 videos that I can open file side by side(like origami) just by cmd/ctrl and left click. For some reason that does not work for me, how should I fix this. Please, please reply thanks!
@OdatNurd3 жыл бұрын
Hmm.. that should work out of the box. As a first step, does it work in Safe Mode? There's information on how to do that here if you're unsure of how to do it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hGqko2x3i9V9l7M

@@OdatNurd It works in safe mode! I have to double click to open files when I’m not in safe mode. I guess that’s the problem, but how do I revert the setting tho. I followed a tutorial and copied the settings of youtuber the first time I used ST3, I’m not sure if that’ll change my settings for ST4

@@OdatNurd found out that I changed the setting “preview on click” to false!!! I changed it back to true and it’s working now
