I love how the narrator's interactions with the other greater daemons in the cinematics always starts with the daemon nearly killing him and him having to basically bargain for his life, but with Ku'gath, Ku'gath is just like "sure thing mate, good deal!". It fits with Nurgle's joviality quite well.

God damn I love how someone in CA correctly identified that Nurglings were a unit that required going the extra mile for in regards to animation. To think about how...mundane they could have been compared to the joyous insanity we are provided.

Just had a interesting concept for the faction (Assuming it isnt already). After defeating an army it gives an option to infect and release captives. Chance to spread a plague in one of that factions provinces.

Not my favorite faction to start with, but certainly interesting with the Plagues. Certainly at the top tier in terms of unit animations and design, I absolutely love how the Nurgle army looks.

Heir, I have a request. Not sure if it is something you are able to do, or if it makes sense, but is it possible to do a series similar to your "State of The Faction" series, but in this case showing how to defeat each of the new factions in campaign? Not sure how many other people would be interested, but a series on how to beat all of the new factions (and new ones as new race packs are released), without cheese, would be extremely helpful. Okoii, mono-stack builder extraordinaire, has a video out with a 19-stack of nurglings. The full buffs you can put on them aren't very impressive, they never break low-mid MA/MD but for some reason the stack is end-game Doomstack tier. It's like the stats on nurglings fail to capture what happens when you have a lot of them out - they must have crazy good animations and/or the damage-splitting borders on broken and/or separate units can stack really well, because that 19-stack of Nurglings was getting battles where it lost like maybe low double-digit units vs TRIPLE stacks of a much better stuff. Crazy stuff, similar 19-stack armies of low-tier units with MUCH better overall stat buffs would perform much worse.

I'm very curious to know if this is intended functionality or not, but either way, it's the first time I've seen an ostensibly T1 tarpit unit with VERY meager buffs do THIS well when full-stacked. Led by Kugath, ofc, but that doesn't seem to be enough to explain everything.

I've never really vibed with the Vampire Counts, but between the artillery lord and the plague mechanics this seems like a similar playstyle with enough extra bells and whistles to keep me interested. I'm still most looking forward to Kislev and Tzeench, but I'm more excited for Nurgle than I expected to be.

Khorne is supposed to be the presence of blood and terror on the battlefield, but Nurgle has always been the one that terrifies me the most. Besides the INSANELY grotesque nature of their creatures, theres something about how they just slowly walk up to you despite all the damage you throw at them that unsettles the soul. Id prefer the fast terrifying charge of Khorne demons over the slow inevitable saunter of the Nurgle demons

Never thought I´d get excited about anything chaos, but they all look really neat. And Nurgle could fit my rather slow and defensive playstyle. I´m a little worried about almost missing range capabilities, though. Another thing: Are we still talking about 40 skill points or have these been brought up to 50 by any chance?

I think in a lionheart video I heard it's 50 now. And yeah, 3/4ths of chaos is pretty interesting mechanically (khorne proving once again to be the god of boringness). Don't worry too much about lacking ranged, nurgle has some ranged stuff and some good spellcasting, aswell as just having a very tanky army in general. You won't outshoot tzeentch or elves but you aren't stuck with exclusively melee like vampires.

@@Orillion123456 the boringness depends very much on perspective. Khorne is the fastest campaign by leagues as you can fight multiple battles a turn with the same army. And you will almost all the time be the aggressor. So no 100 tunes building up and just staying in corner of the map. His fighting is really one sided though but if you enjoy melee who cares.

@@carl-friedrich9596 I was more referring to there being... nothing special of note going on for them while everyone else gets lots of cool toys. Khorne is already unbelievably boring and one-sided in the lore, and then the only mechanical gimmicks his campaign is "hey if you fight a lot you get some numerical buffs and can walk again". It's just extremely meh in every way.

@@scroople8488 absolutely? I can assure you that that is not true, as I had no knowledge of the lore and the tabbletop game when I started playing the first Total war Warhammer game. It is also a Total War game, and I had experience with that game. But it helps (and makes it more fun!) to learn about the different factions. I agree with that.

Heir , i don't understand why you can only show so and so minutes if footage when others have recorded 3-4 PLUS hours of campaign in one go - e.g. Legend of tw - how come he can record so much and you can't? Great to see your videos by the way!

You get different times for video making vs streaming. I guess they figure you can condense your footage more in a video? Don't really know. Even with hours they are still limited to 50 turns
