I feel the need to clarify one thing: these Goblins don't have "AV8". They have AV7, which the game translates as "You need to roll 8 or higher to break armour", hence "8+" in the stats' chart. The same thing goes for AG and PA: it's how high you must roll to succeed, not the actual level of a stat (unlike ST and MA).

I've just had a thought does it work if you blitz choose the activation, move next to it then hit so if the foul appearance does proc you still move, so make your guy move then when it lands tell it to hit

Yes. if you declare a blitz then move you can still perform a block afterwards. So foul appearance won't prevent your character from moving.

They’re the penalties that are being exacted on that square due to tackle zones. Each opponent’s tackle zone on the square confers stacking a -1 penalty to things like dodging or catching the ball

Yes, the AI is TERRIBLE, so it's easy to get used to the game by playing it.

There is a lot to learn and honestly the game doesn't always explain itself very well. I recommend the actual table top rule book to understand what is happening in terms of mechanics.
