This is why you call social services as soon as an 11 year old has an STD. You dont trust the parent and ask if they want to speak to a social worker, you protect the child and make the call!

@mar-k7104
@mar-k7104 Ай бұрын
@@the_Kurgan you are clearly ignorant on this topic so I will try to explain. they explicitly state in the clips that the mother has PRIMARY custody. This is extremely different than FULL custody, and means that the dad does have parental rights to his daughter; just that he pays child support to the mother and the child lives with the mother for the majority of the week. A typical situation is once or twice a week and/or every other weekend depending on parents schedule/wants. In some cases such as the one explored in this video, one or both parents is unhappy with this compromise. The mother clearly wishes that the father had no custody/contact, but the fact that those are her feelings and the the hospital still called him and she didn’t call the police just further proved he had partial custody still (and hopefully full custody after how the episode went)

Thats why the nurse asking if mom wants to see the social worker is no longer a reality. Now we get sent in regardless if parents want us. Im a social worker and not all of us are bad, we are not out looking to tear families apart. Kids need a voice, they need someone to protect them. The nurse probably shouldnt have attacked the mom but honestly ive been there. I was kicked off of a case similar to this but instead it was dad pimping daughter out to his nasty friends. They had good reason to remove me from the case, i was clearly not the right SW for that particular situation. Sometimes even as adults our emotions are too big.

As much as the nurses anger was justified and the mom’s behavior deplorable- nurse still could’ve faced intense repercussions- both legal and career wise. Legally she could’ve been charged for felony assault and battery (I totally understand why she hit the mom- but as justified as her actions are they are still ILLEGAL) and she could’ve put herself and the hospital in danger of being sued. She could’ve lost her license and probably blacklisted from other nearby institutions. Mother is horrible sick awful human being- unfortunately we have to follow the law with these situations and dealing out physical violence is not the way to solve this.

The girl's father has the right to help his child if he is willing too, thats a great thing to do. And the mother chose a "better" way by just putting her child in the market?! @@alexandramoyer8785 I dont need to "get over" anything lol. You just don't realize your point is silly. If none of the nurses were wearing scrubs just regular street clothes, you wouldn't say "oh well its just a tv show so it doesnt matter"

They never once do chest compressions, just straight to the defibrillator.... every MD show I've seen 🤣

Hey, nurse her, no need for chest compressions as cardiac monitor indicated need for shock, compressions would not have corrected that cardiac rhythm. Of course if you were not in hospital & had no AED or monitor you would be doing CPR till help arrived.

That nurse would be me. I can't stand things like this. I don't care it's none of my business, I don't care she's not my family, but if I find out you did something like this to someone... it's over for you.
