One of the best Charley Chase shorts! Muriel Evans doesn't get the credit that Thelma Todd got as his leading lady. She had the best chemistry with Chase, after Todd. She had a fine gift for comedy!

According to the book "Smile When The Raindrops Fall" by Brian Anthony and Andy Edmonds, in 1935, at the age of 19, she became the object of Stan Laurel's desire. Her father, Charley, was displeased and warned Laurel to keep his distance. Stan disregarded the warning and ended up getting punched in the face by Charley!

@@mariaritadeoliveira2895 That was true but that didn't end the friendship between Stan Laurel and Charley Chase.

@@caraqueno Really? I thought that their friendship ended after this.

@@mariaritadeoliveira2895 No, they patched things up quickly. Laurel & Hardy appeared in a cameo in Chase's last released short for Hal Roach, "On the Wrong Trek" (1936). This was after Chase punching Stan Laurel.

This is a case, I mean Chase, of mistaken identity!
