If you have time during the aura, you can potentially prevent a full-blown seizure. Since a seizure involves your brain experiencing abnormal activity, knowing what calms you down and puts you in a meditative state can help prevent the seizure from occurring. In my case, during high school when grand-mal seizures occurred almost every week, if I listened to Mandy Moore songs or answered questions about her during the aura, I managed to stop the grand-mal seizure from happening. In my opinion, there is a positive aspect to grand-mal seizures. After I come out of the seizure, I often experience a massive migraine, but after I sleep it off, I feel fantastic. It's like my whole body rebooted. You can compare a seizure to a computer malfunction. The seizure is akin to the computer malfunctioning, and sleeping after the seizure is like turning off the computer. When you wake up, it's like turning the computer back on, and it works perfectly fine.

I had my first seizure on NYE 2024 and I remained confused, disoriented and depressed for approx two WEEKS. Idc what anyone says, it can last longer than days. So scary.

Trying to prevent/think through the aura "is part of the seizure." Submission is not ever part of the experience. The altered mind state is unforgettable and undesirable. But it does more damage to try to forget it.
