Thank you, thank you, thank you for this awesome episode. I so related to Kate as I worked as an RN most of my adult life. I too shifted my focus when I came into recovery. I switched from working in a facility where I had up to 20 patients a shift to visiting nursing taking care of one or sometimes 2 patients at a time. I just wish I got there sooner. I loved nursing as a career but found it much more satisfying to go home at the end of the day and not feel like I needed alcohol from the stress.

I was never a nurse but was caregiver to my mother for 12 years! Very stressful and completely neglected myself and especially self care!
