I was going to apologize for not remaining as upbeat throughout this video because I did not want to sound ungrateful for being in nursing school, but that wasn't the message. I really just want to help us all out so that we don't lose ourselves in the pursuit of something we see as a passion! Promise me you'll take care of yourself too!

I felt the proving yourself party because some people always assume that your where you are academically because of affirmative action or because the school is required to reach a certain minority quota

Thank you SO MUCH for this video. You're honesty is so refreshing and made me feel less alone. I completely relate to everything you said and lately have felt just so exhausted and mentally checked out. Nap time is calling my name ALWAYS!

I usually binge watch American Horror Story, and do my makeup, but you are beautiful and it’s awful that we are so under represented in the medical space, and I’m glad you made this video, because this is happening to so many of us, especially now, but you got this, just remember you’re an educated black woman you can do anything💕 #BlackGirlMagic🪄

I know all of what you are speaking on. Everything you hit on is what I go thru. At the end of each semester, I experience burnout. It’s crazy but I just let it happen and get it together for the next semester.

I so appreciate your honesty and sharing this with us! I experienced such bad burnout last semester, my first semester of nursing school. I didn’t realize what was happening until I had fallen into deep depression and felt like I lost who I am. However, I have thankfully realized this and am starting to make a game plan for next semester. I refuse to prioritize school over myself ever again! Thanks for helping me not feel so alone.

I am a pre nursing student and I am taking anatomy and physiology this summer and I’m like God I feel so defeated and dumb. Plus I am the only black woman taking this class during the summer. I live in Austin Texas it’s not a large population of African Americans out here. The imposter syndrome is real. I’m like God am I really made to be a nurse 👩🏾⚕️. I had to give myself a tough love talk today. Do I really want to be a nurse how bad do I want this. I need some friends who are going into the healthcare just like me or something. I feel like giving up. I had an advisor a couple of years ago tell me that nursing may not be for me. I want to prove myself wrong and others also that told me I couldn’t do it or that I am not smart enough. I put a lot of pressure on myself. These are my pre req classes I have to make a certain grade. F is unacceptable I am paying for this class out of pocket. Lord you all pray for me that I get through A&P. Love the video by the way. I am not in nursing school. Just a pre nursing student.

I want to cry because I haven't been able to sleep that well and I'm tired at work which is not good and I have a lot of homework. I'm tired, can't sleep, and don't wanna study at the moment even though I feel like I should. I need to do laundry and I think that I have a test tomorrow 😫😩😭😢 and this is only the first week of school😱.

You’re amazing and show such perseverance! Thanks for being so REAL about this , it’s scary to hear but I’m thankful for your honesty. do you take a break or summers off at all for your program ? Would they let you take a break after you get your BSN before MSN course work ?
