Love the videos! I have relocated and decided to completely change my career path. I am looking to start as a CNA, so that I can work nights and attend RN classes during the day, once admitted. I’m just hoping I can survive the severe pay cut. 💝

I have to think of my health and working as a nurse too. As I said I am 52 and have been a lpn for 29 years. Earlier this year I had a great opportunity to go back to bedside nursing at a hospital after 20 years away from working in the hospital setting. It was a great experience, but one day I woke up and couldn't walk. After a 3 day stay in the hospital on the neuro floor, they couldn't find what was wrong. It just made me think even harder about how working in that setting may be taking a toll on my body.

@loriebuildingdaily - this type of thing happens in all careers. Believe it or not. I’m an accountant and sit all day long. Well the same thing happen to me. Posture, the way we sit, stand, proper exercises / stretches. Don’t let the body trick you out if your passion.

When I say I needed this video just signed up for nursing and im 42 been a CNA since I was 20 now that 2 out of 3 of my kids is grown it’s time to do what I been wanting to do. 💚💚💚

Hello Gorgeous. Wow, December is around the corner, then graduation. I'm so excited for you. You will be successful in any field of nursing you go into. Your faith and strength are sufficient enough to handle it all. We are as young as we feel. I had Cinnabon Monday. It took me 2 days to finish it. It was soooo good. All things in moderation❤❤❤

I remember those days - taking tests and being like wait all of this stuff was not taught. Lol. With nursing you’ll have lots of options. You can explore telemedicine and work from home/hybrid. You are definitely encouraging all of us who watch you to keep going no matter what!

I feel like when u older u learn better u more settled . I feel I have a good heart and I worked as a cna for years i don’t mind doing nursing but I need my weekends for my family . U can’t get time back sometimes I wish I started nursing school in my 20”s then me being 32 however everything happens for a reason

I am almost done with my 1st semester and I am beyond exhausted! I finished long-term care. My brain is too fried to be working. I am 42 and I have old wrist injuries. I will be mindful of what areas of nursing I will get into. Luckily nursing is so vast and lots of areas to try out.

Hi Rasheeda! I’m currently an LPN and I’ll be starting my bridge program on January 8, 2024! I’m so excited and nervous at the same time. It’s a happy nervous though lol. I do not like ATI at all. Some say it helps but I’m not too sure. I scored a level 1 in order to get accepted into the program. I scored below a level 1 the first time though. Your videos really hit home and by the way, I’ll be 45 in March. Keep pushing and you’ll be finished in no time. Can’t wait to see you at the finish line. ❤

Are you in a lpn to rn program or did you have a degree in another field and got into an accelerated program. I would love to do a evening weekend program, but I don't see any. What do you suggest.

Hi beautiful! Thanks for being here. I live in Pennsylvania and there are a lot of e/w programs in the area. You might have to just check the schools in your area. This is an accelerated rn program as well. I was a MA/Phlebomist for 20 years that’s where I got my healthcare experience.
