I'm 51, been totin' Case Trappers since I was 10 years old. My last trapper was stolen some years ago. I JUST ordered a smooth chestnut bone trapper & hot damn, I watch this video & find out they're about to "Vault" them. That means my knife value WILL go up. YESSSSss!! I knew there was something about the one I ordered!!!! Great video, I really enjoyed it. There will never be another company like Case. Just ask Tony Bose, the MASTER. Thanks guys.

Over the top, Nutnfancy goodness! I remember seeing the Case logo in my barber shop in the 1950s when barbers used to shave your neck with a straight razor as a finishing touch. A salty discharge I'm unfamiliar with started to come from the corners of my eyes watching this and the Mrs Hood videos. What a beautiful public service you offer. Your love of Americana is heartwarming. I salute your efforts Colonel.

I think I just became an instantaneous case-knife collector just by watching this video. My wife made the mistake of watching it as well, and now wants a watermellon coloured canoe knife. These are just so cool, and I am so happy to have found out about them. 2nd kind of cool....to the max! Thank you Nutnfancy and Case!

Hey Nutn, wanted you to know that of all the reviews you've done this one was the most heartfelt for me. I have come across these knives before, but was never inclined to purchase one because of the company's reputation. This review hit home for me because of the "lineage" factor. You can be sure that I will have one (or a few) in my collection soon. Thanks again for a great video! PS: As I'm writing this I have about 30 tabs open of different Case knives, LOL!

My favorite knives ever, a real mans knife. Grandpa worked our ranch with one and neutered many cattle, skinned rabbits and deer with his, and besides a Buck 110, are the most famous and classic knives in the world.

I do love Case knives. I do wish they would offer more styles in CV which is so nice to sharpen and I can get it hair splitting sharp. Just fantastic old school knives. NO modern knife affects me, visually, as much as a Case, Schatt Morgan (ATS-34!) or Great Eastern Cutlery offerings. But, CASE still wins in visual diversity and appeal. I especially love their Canoes. Well done Nutn!

I love these knives, give me the russ lock or cheetah in orange peel anyday..fantastic, the pocket worn series, how cool is that..and yes..I'd like to see some clips..but.do they really matter with knives like these?

@eas26 that is not correct below are the following compositions you can easily find the actual compositions on the web so i don't know why you would say this. 154cm is a mid to premium SS, 420HC is considered a mid to low stainless steel and 420 is considered low 154CM: Carbon 1.05%, Chromium 14.00%, Molybdenum 4.00% 420HC: C=0.46%, Mn=0.4%, Si=0.4%, Cr=13%, V=0.3% 420: Carbon 0.15 min, Manganese 1.00 max, Phosphorus 0.040 max, Sulfur 0.030 max, Silicon 1.00 max, Chromium 12.00 - 14.00
@metallicaholic4308812 жыл бұрын
that depends entirely on your own preferences...do you prefer a larger or a smaller handle? do you prefer a locking blade or a traditional slip joint?...how many blades would you like on your knife...etc....etc....i suggest go to the Case website and have a look around...theres so many different options to choose from with case that its hard to answer such a broad question....if i had to take a random shot ...i suggest get a Trapper...but then again i collect trappers..so im slightly biased

i took a trip to mexico to help my aunt remodel a house she owns down there. i opened shed full of all sorts of tools, she said i could take whatever i wanted. while goin through stuff i found a box, i opened it and inside was a small ratchet set and a case mini trapper. i took the knife and left everything else i had grabbed.

This booth review will go down as my all-time favorite knife related TNP video. Normally not a big blade lover but I do dig Case. Almost every Southern farm boy grew up with one in his pocket. I carried one for years that had a blunt nose kinda shaped like a hawkbill. Sadly I handed it to somebody one day while fishing and the knot head dropped it in the drink. Cryin' shame.

Super impressed with the display of Case Knives. The way I see it, if they are going to go to the trouble of lighting and properly displaying their knives, they deserve that extra bit of attention simply because with the lights, you can see every detail, even down on the bottom shelves! Thanks for the upload, OK? Take care. mrbluenun

I can see how many watching this will get the hankering for a nice Case pocketknife... As someone who owns a couple of pre 1980's Case knives i would strongly suggest looking at the models that still use the Chrome Vanadium Steel and not the 420 Stainless Steel...... That Cro-Van steel is some really nice blade steel and it will make your Case a much more capable and enjoyable tool.... Easy to sharpen and takes a very fine edge....
