Went to his shop recently and there were police officers coming in constantly buying knives and other gear. In the back were some special ops guys (Navy I think) in a meeting with the "Man". When I asked who they were they just said some "vendors" but salesmen don't wear T shirts, military khakis and boots

this has got to be one of my favorite shot show vids ever. emerson's character makes this golden, i love listening to him talk and knowing just from the way he does that he's a great guy. i never particularly had an interest in emerson knives except for the wave feature (partially because of price), but now knowing the man behind the company, his loyalty and humbleness, it makes me want to support him and get some all-american emersons. thanks nutn, for this awesome vid!

huge fan of his work never owned one but I just ordered one. 😃 I think his theories are sound and his work is simplicity at its best. built for what they say they are and you can argue blade steels all day but 154CM is a great steel all around. I have a ton of expensive knives that might be overpriced and yet I think the Emerson will stand up to them quite easily. I will be getting more!!!

Ernie's knives have been my foundation since age 16 when it came to "tactical knives" i use and have used many names and brands since age 16. still carry 1 today. great to see one of my favorite reviewers going to one of my favorite knife makers.

Great review, and always love watching interviews with the man himself. Have owned an A-100 for years, and the mini CQC-7 is my EDC knife, couldn't be more pleased with how they carry and perform.

Thanks for taking us to a fantastic booth review of an American Knife Manufacturer. I like how Mr. Emerson keeps the designs simple without knee-jerking towards the latest hype. Proven designs that work are the way to go, especially for our armed forces! And he's right about picking things that should feel, handle and goes ergonomically great as one holds an item of interest. Those Glocks felt like snappy porcupines when I held it, so I'm proud to say that that was a total miss for me! :P
