Can’t believe this one already got a remake I remember when the original video of it came out and it feels that it wasn’t that long ago.

I enjoyed watching it. This one had a quick spin down. I like it too😁

There was a pizza place near where I grew up that had these fans (52” in one room and 32” in the other room) (with the stencil blades on the 52” fans). Sadly, when the restaurant changed ownership, all the fans were replaced with Craftmade builder-style fans.

I see that you've shown lots of fans. Aside from that Mathews Irene, which ones do you like the most? By the way, do you prefer 2-blade, 3-blade, 4-blade or 5-plus-blade fans? Personally, I like the 4-blade fans more, but some other models with more blades (6 or more) and the ones that are 60" or larger (like 72" Kensgrove or 84" Fenceham) do catch my attention as well.

There are many that I like, old and new. If I really had to pick a true favorite, at this point it's probably my prototype Casablanca Mission. Since it's totally one-of-a-kind, there is nothing else that compares on any level. But there are a ton that I really love, I only have a favorite response on reserve since people often ask which is my favorite. I do really love 3 and 6 blades in particular, I have a soft spot for 4 because it was always kind of a standard of vintage and antique designs, I like early 5 blade fans because they were a minority for awhile and it was interesting to see them grow into the majority. Never thought I was a 2 blade person, but a lot of the new designs coming out are changing that, I adore the Aya from Casablanca. I also like really large fans, they're kind of a new thing so I don't have very many, but it's a neat product category. I like really small fans too, they're always so cute. So basically I like all fans, you can pretty much see that represented on my channel. I'm definitely a luxury fan connoisseur, I like high quality products. Home center stuff aside from Hunter doesn't do much for me, but I try to show at least a little of everything.

I thought it would be hard to pick one (or a few). There in USA there's a TON of different models, from very cheap to quite high-end. Here in Brazil there are some nice Fans as well (but most of them cannot compare to the american ones). There are models here in Brazil from Hunter, some of them (like Beacon Hill and Bayport) you showed in videos, but they are a lot more expensive than the "standard" ones. I do sometimes check the Hunter's american website and I myself have a hard time picking one. That are so many amazing fans, in special the ones that are "antiquely modern", like Devon Park, Coral Bay, Bennet (with 1 light), Ronan and Sophia. I do like a lot the hugger fans, but houses or apartments with low ceilings aren't very common here. :)

It is hard to pick favorites, the variety available even just today is insane and always growing. Brazil does offer some very nice fans, Gerbar is one of my absolute favorite manufacturers in the entire world. They of course are in partnership with Matthews here in the States, simply beautiful fans and excellent quality. I'm jealous of some of what Hunter offers in other places around the world, the variety here is great, but there's a lot of discontinued models offered elsewhere along with other exclusive models that are pretty neat. But I agree, I like a lot of those Hunter models, too. Interesting that you like hugger fans but don't really have the places to put them, I'm opposite haha. 8 foot ceilings are so common in the US and I don't really care for most huggers; I would always prefer a downrod fan which can be difficult on an 8 foot ceiling.

8 ft (almost 2,5 m) isn't a bit too tall for hugger fans?

I use 8' as the example because it's really just the lowest "standard" ceiling height you see in the States over the past several decades. There are certainly plenty of residential spaces with lower ceilings, but there is no standard for any lower height, so they could be anywhere from 6'5" to 7'10" and putting any kind of fan in those applications would be at your own discretion. Technically for safety, as indicated for every fan coming into the US market, the lowest part of a typical residential fan blade should not be mounted below 7' (10' for metal blade/"industrial" fans, though I break that rule constantly). So yeah, huggers would be really ideal for an even slightly lower ceiling than 8', but many people prefer the extra clearance a hugger provides on the 8' applications. Downrod fans can quickly get quite low, even when using a short 3" rod, just due to the designs and where the blades are located on the fan body. I have a Casablanca Aya installed at my parents' place on such a downrod, and the blades still fall slightly below 7' when mounted on the 8' ceiling just because the fan's body is so long. This speaks to the point that many people simply go with huggers and/or flush mount fans for 8' ceilings because they don't want to deal with how low a downrod fan could potentially hang.
