Waited a long time for a Nutri Ninja blade breakdown. I could never figure out how to remove that plastic locking washer until now! One thing to note, when you removed the second bearing and said the little black washers fell out too. One of the washers is actually just part of the broken bearing (the thin rubber one). The thick hard plastic one is the only one you need. Keep it safe as I imagine it is very difficult to replace. It is ever so slightly cone shaped to give it a gradual tight fit. Many thanks for your video, I have just ordered new bearings :)

Hi There, I opened mine today coz it failed. the thin rubber washer which you said is part of the washer, if we just install the hard plastic one and not the thin rubber one, will it not create a gap when we assemble everything back?
@littlewren23535 ай бұрын
@@rajatsingh87Hey. There should be no thin rubber washer. If you see my comment above, this thin rubber piece was not a washer, it was just part of the damaged bearing. You only need the hard plastic washer for the inside :)

Update for the newer model of the Ninja Pro - BL450 series - it has a different style 6 fin drive. In this model they've added a metal locking pin to the plastic locking washer underneath that stops the washer from turning. I had to drill it out with a 5/64 drill bit - was a bit challenging getting it out. After removal of the pin, I found using a pair of channel lock pliers to turn the locking washer worked better for me. Used the channel lock pliers to install the washer also. Thanks for the video. Was a good start for me.

Is there a more detailed and slower video of reassembling the washers and bearings? I got the bearings out but,I can't get both of them back in. What am I doing wrong? Is there a safe grease or other lubricant I should be using? Did I reassemble it correctly? Very confused. 🤔
@anthonyhart64052 жыл бұрын
Correct. Same thing happened with me. For clarification's sake, the lock washer has to be turned clockwise with the Channel Lock and when I was re-assembling I used a small screw locked with Crazy glue instead of the pin.

@@jsmith5770 NO. Do not use any lubricant. Get a socket the size of the bearing outer race and press them in or tap them in with a hammer.

So one more comment on this... I ordered the appropriate size bearings from Amazon or something. The device worked for about 6 months before again becoming extremely loud, telling that the bearings were going bad. On my second attempt at repair, the bearings were so rusted into the housing that I couldn't get them out without breaking the plastic, so I'm ordering a new one. If you can, order high quality stainless steel bearings. Not sure where... too many cheap items out there.

I would love to see you do a video on removing and cleaning the silicone ring that sits inside the lid. It's where the jar seats as the lid is screwed down. I pulled mine out today. I have an updated version in which the plastic seal (referred to as lock washer in the video) is held in place by a tiny brass spring pin. You have to pry the seal away from this pin in order to be able to rotate it clockwise to disengage. Pry it high enough so that it completely clears the brass pin while turning it clockwise with a small torx screwdriver.

My blender also has the metal clip on the plastic locking washer, it my be a different model than the one in the video as I also noticed the rubber disk on mine is a female fitting, while the one in the video is male. To remove the plastic lock washer I used a small flat head driver to bend the washer over the metal clip, as its there to prevent it from spinning. Once it's lifted over a bit on that side, stick the driver in the hole next to it and turn clockwise. It came off without much effort once the washer was clear of the metal clip.

@@DanielB123321 The metal pin here seems antagonistic on Ninja's part. Earlier models are easier to dissassemble, and this blade should not be treated like a consumable when it can be repaired with just a couple of new bearings.
