Sometimes you can't beat a classic. Add turkey or ham if you prefer.
Goes beautifully with soup !
Ingredients
- 2 slices seeded sourdough bread (The Bretzel Bakery is my personal fav)
- 40g Halloumi cheese, sliced (replace with turkey or ham if you prefer)
- 40-50g stuffing
- 3 tsp cranberry sauce
- 1 tsp mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Directions
- Add the mayonnaise to the stuffing and mix well until they have a bound together.
- Slice your halloumi and fry over a medium heat until golden brown each side, usually ~2-3 mins/side.
- Spread some olive oil either side of each slice of bread and fry until golden brown each side, usually 1-2 mins/side.
- Time to build your sambo; spread the mayo/stuffing mixture on one side and place your slices of halloumi on top.
- Spread 3 tsp of cranberry sauce on the other slice.
- Stack the slices on top of each other and you are ready to enjoy this beautiful sambo!
*Tip this goes amazing with a bowl of soup.
