Where have you been all my life, Dr Fuhrman? I am thoroughly motivated to continue the struggle to overturn a “killer” Midwestern way of approaching food that I learned from family and the food industry as a post WW-2 baby.

Excellent interview! I have been a follower of Dr Fuhrman for 5 years and he has been absolutely right in every respect. I have not had a single cold or flu since that time. Hayfever has vanished. Exercise is also important. There are other vegan diets but these rather stress what not to eat, he tells you what's really healthy based on science and his own experience. Eat to live and do great things instead of live to eat and get sick and overweight.

Much Aloha & Mahalo to Matt & Sarah for bringing Dr Joel Furman to the forefront in helping me understand the connections between my gut health & the Corona virus. We were made intelligent beings, with a wonderful body that we can become disciplined enough to go against the medical industrial complex to heal ourselves, & the planet.

I wanted to especially acknowledge your role in making this interview wonderfully successful. My wife and I have known Dr. Fuhrman for many years, from before he attained much of his "celebrity" status - he was actually our family physician! I have seen him speak and share his message and this knowledge many times, and live by it as best I can every day. I want to thank you for asking such excellent questions, which prompted him to address many of the reasons people might shy away from thinking they can or should move toward this approach to eating and health in general. Keep up the great work!

Massive fan of Dr. Fuhrman. I'm recovering from serious mental and physical illness. Over a few years I increased my focus ongut health and nutrient rich food, (plant based whole food). This year I've experienced radical changes in my overall health. To me it's not really a 'diet' but an essential life style choice that brings a rich, compassionate living experience.

Fantastic interview. I bought 2 of Dr Furhmans books a few years back. This reminded me I need to pull them out again to revisit his recipes. I’m glad he mentioned the adaptations for autoimmune at the end. As someone who struggles with inflammatory gut issues and other autoimmune conditions as well as SIBO, many of the plant based foods, fermented foods, onions, and beans cause flares. It’s a challenge to discern the right foods especially during a flare.

I enjoyed the information and have taken heed. For the lack of knowledge we perish. Deprogram yourself and change what you eat to live longer. When I was a young girl my parents always told my siblings and I “if the food we eat in the water we drink don’t kill us we will live a long time”. I want to live 😊😷. Thank you.

This is a great video!!! Life changing, but so doable!!! If you are suffering from deadly diseases or just having lesser health issues that are "going" to turn into deadly issues as you age, watch this video! It's never too late to make positive changes in your lifestyle and you DO NOT have to wait months or years to effect a change. A few weeks will do for most to see a marked change. Scared of covid? This is the info you need! Or maybe you are already healthy and you want to make sure you stay as healthy as possible so your immune system works properly to protect you from everything your environment throws at you, this is the video to watch!

Amazing! Thank you for all that you do to help. My husband was diagnosed with colitis at age 19, western medicine did not cure him it caused years of pain and suffering, lost wages and time. He almost died when his j pouch failed almost 3 yrs ago now and he now lives with an ileostomy. I really feel the food and drug industries should be forced to pay reparations for all the unnecessary harm they have caused.

What do people do with compromised gut motility for instance people with gastroperesis or someone like me who has abdominal adhesions due to a bowel resection which was a result of surgical negligence and now I have so much scar tissue and absorption issues as well as bacteria imbalances caused by the harsh antibiotics that saved my life from nechrotizing fasciitis So if my body struggles to digest things like nuts seeds beans raw veggies how does following a protocol like your work for me?
@GoodnessLover Жыл бұрын
The vagus nerve helps manage the complex processes in your digestive tract, including signalling the muscles in your stomach to contract and push food into the small intestine. A damaged vagus nerve can't send signals normally to your stomach muscles. This may cause food to remain in your stomach longer, rather than move normally into your small intestine to be digested. There are a few different things that can cause damage to the vagus nerve . The most common cause is diabetes where high blood sugar affects the health of nerves throughout the body, including the vagus nerve. Other causes include surgery on the stomach, viral infections, eating disorders, medications that slow contractions in the intestine, and GERD (reflux). It’s best to eat small, regular meals, rather than a lot of food at once. Focus more on softer, easier to digest foods such as smoothies, soups, stews etc (ie better to focus on cooked fruits and veggies rather than raw). Avoid foods high in fat which can slow digestion. Swedish bitters (which you can purchase from a health food store) and ginger can both help to accelerate gastric emptying, and herbal teas such as licorice and chamomile can be soothing and assist digestion. Acupuncture can also be helpful. We also have a product called Better Gut Prebiotic Fiber Plus which a number of our clients have taken who also struggle with motility issues

Joel Furhman learned about healthful living not from medical school but from a body of knowledge call Natural Hygiene which he was lucky enough to come across when he was in his 20s and suffering from malnutrition. In this video he doesn't mention the main cause of death from so called covid - the deadly medical treatments! Yes diet is critical to being healthy but drugs both legal and non legal are even more toxic than a bad diet. I guess as a medical doctor, he can't get too truthful about how deadly medical treatments are for fear of losing his license. Oh and there is no covid virus. There's only toxemia and the symptoms are body elimination processes which are right action and should be allowed to run their course.
