I couldn't stress enough how important your book 'How not to die' has been for me and all the people I told about it and decided to read it. I can't imagine how many lives you have saved so far with the truths that you relate there. I will never be able to thank you enough!

@@m0L3ify I lost the weight pretty fast (impatience?), Morning: big glass of water, one orange then light exercise (walking, jogging, bodyweight; alternating). Breakfast whole oat groats (cooked once a week in the instant pot) with fruit. Lunch: whole starches, beans and greens, very low fat, (dressing: balsamic vinegar, lemon or reduced sugar ketchup). Drink only water or teas. After lunch (1pm) no more food for the day, drink plenty.

@@ooo789456123 Thank you. That's helpful info. So you incorporated some intermittent fasting as well? I tried SOS-free WFPB a few times but plateaued pretty quickly. I've been curious to know what people's successes are because it can feel really defeating and hopeless even though I've been plant-based since 2017. But I haven't done intermittent fasting in awhile. Next time I try this I'll give that a try. Were you hungry a lot in the afternoon, or did that subside once you'd reprogrammed your ghrelin peaks?

Wear a mask, get vaccinated when you can. Keep social distance. Why take an unnecessary risk. Stay outside and avoid crowded spaces. Being over weight is a huge risk factor for dying from the virus. Too many people are over weight. Eat a healthy whole food plant based diet and exercise regularly There needs to be some studies as to why fat cells impact virus severity and deaths.
@broddr3 жыл бұрын
It’s likely a mix of factors. Overweight people typically have several other comorbidities that put them at greater risk of a more severe response to any infection. In addition, adipose (fat) tissue has twice the ACE2 receptors compared to lung tissue. ACE2 is the receptor that the COVID-19 virus uses to enter cells. So a large amount of adipose tissue likely results in a much faster onset of severe COVID-19 and possibly as a reservoir of viral infection. This likely results in the body creating an overly strong immune response creating a “cytokine storm” that puts the lungs and kidneys at extreme danger of lethal damage.

Obesity increases the risks of high blood pressure, heart disease, cancer and dementia. People don't want to be bothered changing their habits, they want a pill. There is a huge lack of personal responsibility in people today. Eat healthy and buy a bicycle. Both will help improve your health.

I have a question and no one to answer it for me. I have been vegan for many years and WFPB (and SOS free) for about 4 months because I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I am 74 years old, not on meds and not overweight. I can't seem to get my glucose numbers down. The number is never below 130 and even goes up really high after fasting 12--14 hours. I can't eat oats, rice, potatoes, beans without spikes of 70 points. Should I be concerned? I have your book and cookbooks, but I can't eat the delicious recipes because of the glucose spikes. I live on salad mostly. Please, please help. Thank you.

Many people cured their diabetes, just read the book "Mastering Diabetes". Be careful, low carb keto is a terrible way, it guarantees that your diabetes gets more severe.

Still calories are calories, forget fad diets, American daily intake is 3600 calories you see everything based on 2000 calories Very difficult a 200 calorie burning walk will offset those 3600 calories
