The dry milk is a good idea especially if you don’t use much milk regularly and buying even just a half gallon will go bad before you can use it all

I used to use dried milk, because it's light to carry home from the store, and has a long shelf life, but it's hard to find in Lancaster nowadays, so I use UHT milk in cartons, which also has a long shelf life. I don't think Aldi sell dried milk.

Sorry, Tom, powdered milk is absolutely revolting to both my wife and myself. In addition to both of us becoming lactose intolerant in middle age, the flavor and odor of powdered milk is just unacceptable to both of us. Glad you're able to enjoy it, but for anyone (like my wife and I) who don't care for it, we recently discovered Fairlife lactose-free milk, and now my wife is happily eating her Red Berry Special K once again. Good to see you as always, I always enjoy your Hollywood stories.

Thanks. With the dangers of various wars or major natural disasters I do recommend some foods that last without refrigeration if food becomes scarce. I definitely wouldn't eat it though if I didn't like it. It took me awhile to get used to it years ago.

I’m stopping it only one minute in to say I’m very interested to see your reaction to dry milk. My mom says she gave it to me as a kid (I don’t recall ever having it). Edit to ask: have you ever had chipped beef? My grandfather said it was a staple of his diet in college.

My parents had 10 kids we used to get the govt food, cheese, lard, canned veggies etc. The worst was the non fat dry milk. My mom had to mix it with regular milk 50/50. That food program eventually evolved into the food stamp program. I did like government corn flakes. The slabs of cheese made great grilled cheese. It filled our bellies.
