Two videos in and many questions answered very quickly. I agree with the comment before mine. I think that sometimes instructional videos are made to cater to the industry and not the individual. We’re the ones making the creative choices. Succinct instruction is what we need. Great content!

OSX Mavericks 10.9 users can safely use the 10.10 OSX driver and it works perfectly for the Tr-08. Only problem is it will not install unless using CharlesSoft Pacifist, a shareware application that opens Mac OS X .pkg package files. Using Pacifist you can install the Tr-08 drivers on OSX 10.9 and everything works fine after restart.

Hey, I wonder if TR-08 can be used as a MIDI controller? Means, if it outputs anything except the clock, over MIDI? I'd like to patch it into my DAW over USB, and make it so different drum sounds in the pattern will trigger different things in my scene. Can't find the answer anywhere on Internet. Thanks ahead
@Nu-trix2 жыл бұрын
All the controllers on the panel (tone level, comp, snappy etc.. ) are being send using MIDI. Using them you can record a real time performance of the knobs also in your DAW. T

Without an existing Internet almost all of you who are asking this 🙈 Questions would have to learn your machines for years(as its normal!)! Ever thought about trying testing for weeks and finaly learning??its a shame that everytime there is a little dumb question people write it in forums or comment sections...i mean questions like....no i dont want to offend somebody but pls,try to use your head,get experience,talk to others who make music and prepare for years of learning,thats normal in this buiseness! All this features are written in MY tr08 manual...except the midi ch thing of the toms-thx for that-,i dont understand why u all acct like „wow“a new cheat. Most of them are achivable even without manual..just try it..learning by doing,the amount of knobs is limited😜😎

Thanks so Much Nu Trix for your help. I am using the TR 08 in sync with a TB 03. But I use them combined via Logic, so they go out divided in many speakers. The thing is that when Im playing triggering both, some sounds cannot be used. Specifically the Cymbal, that I like a lot just does not come out. If the TR 08 is not triggered to the TB 03 and i go out via the stereo output it does. I do not know why this happens. How could I use the cymbal when both are triggered. Thanks lot!!!

I picked up one these because I'm just now getting into synths and electronic music but I have literally never used any drum machine (other than a BeatBuddy pedal) in my life, and I have a dumb question: When you were on the tuning screen, you could hit the 1-16 buttons to create sounds. The demo TR-09 in Guitar Center was set up like this and that functionality is what made me want to buy it. Other than you on that tuning screen, I haven't seen a TR-08 have that capability. Can you record by hitting those buttons, as opposed to setting each instrument individually with the big yellow Tap button? I would much rather do that and record two or three instruments at the same time.

For almost the same price I think the Tanzmaus or Tanzbar Lite sound better, have many more modulation/variation possibilities, parameter lock, are analog and handmade, similar size.
@BillyBatsonMarvel6 жыл бұрын
pozsoz the sequencer isn't as user friendly like the TR units. Just saying.
@pozsoz6 жыл бұрын
I don't own a TR but it took me like 1 hour to figure out the Tanzmaus and I had never used a drum machine before. I guess it's not that complicated but you do have to see some tutorials or read the manual, and I agree at least from what I've seen, that the boutiques seem very hands-on.
