Apparently his father was always harrassing him for being a wimp and not smiling, so he kept smiling through pain and then turned same on others. If I recall right, his father was his first victum? I may be wrong tho.

For example, it is canon that he died from a dog related incident, and although it’s not confirmed that the whole thing can, it is the voice actor or the old voice actor voice acted the character so obviously they were shared a copy of the script.

The way I like to think about it is the Amazon series and the pilot series are two different timelines where this would be canon to the pilot timeline but not the Amazon series timeline
