Agree that many people are considering NVDA as the "Stock of the year." However, I'm curious about which stocks could potentially become the next META in terms of growth over the next decade. I've allocated 90% of my savings for investment, looking for companies to make additions to boost performance
@garnold-l5p5 күн бұрын
I’m not giving specific advice, but I can say that many stocks still have growth potential. After years of losses while managing my portfolio on my own, I started working with an investment advisor, and my portfolio has since grown by 250%. This shows the importance of professional guidance, even for those knowledgeable about the market.
@Anessa-gibson5 күн бұрын
The truth is, the role of an investment advisor can often be overlooked but should never be underestimated. After facing a significant portfolio loss in 2020 during the COVID pandemic while trying to manage my investments on my own, I decided to reach out to an investment advisor. At that time, I had about $126K left in my portfolio. Now, without having to lift a finger, I'm semi-retired, working only 7.5 hours a week, and I'm just 15% short of my $1 million retirement goal thanks to my subsequent investments.

You all have an optimistic perspective on this, and I appreciate that. However, history has shown that money ultimately drives decisions. When I evaluate situations, I focus on the flow of money. Right now, AI isn't a massive game-changer-it still requires human oversight for most applications. But it will improve, and one day it won’t need that human driver anymore. When that happens, governments are likely to do very little about it. Why? Because the real power lies with corporations, and governments are drawn to that sweet corporate money like bees to honey.

At the AI Summit, Jensen Huang probably revealed that in the future, AI will not only help us drive cars and write essays, but also help us find our keys, remember why we walked into a room, and maybe even fold laundry without complaining. I mean, who knows? By 2030, your refrigerator might start texting you about your eating habits, and your coffee machine will know exactly how many cups you need before it even brews. And let’s not forget about AI-powered shoes that tie themselves and remind you to stretch every hour. The future is looking really efficient - and weirdly judgmental.

Not only you could crunch numbers with millionth times speed, but you could directly found what's missing by simple ctrl + F. Now, the AI revolution: Human as whole will be devoured. In this video, Huang envisions a future where AI and humans work together, with AI handling repetitive tasks and humans focusing on more complex and creative endeavours. He is wrong. The history of AI is that the period of the best results being obtained by AI and humans working together is short. Example - chess. There was a time when the best chess was the computer offering two or three moves for a grandmaster to choose from - the computer avoiding tactical mistakes and the GM avoiding positional errors. That time was short: the computers working alone are now very superior to this way of choosing moves.

AI is an amazing development, and it looks really promising, but it has nothing to do with the future of general purpose computing. AI so far, has produced nothing useful. I'm sure it will, but so far not that much. Chap GPT is an impressive party trick that looks promising. Self driving cars? I think that will take many years to perfect. I think AI is over hyped at present, but looks like a promising technology. Getting back to the original point, will AI replace general purpose computing and replace software engineers? I doubt that will happen for a very long time, and maybe never. "AI" is just machine learning, that has nothing to do with intelligence.
