This is why preorders is a must and only one per customer ID required. This and limiting supply is the most anti consumer thing ever. All to drive prices up. I won’t pay 3k for a 25% uplift over the 4090 get bent!

I got my 4080 from micro center middle of last year marked as discontinued but brand new for $699. I'm good for a while. Will skip 50 series and possibly 60 too.

I have a 4080s and I don't know how you can skip the two. I want full PT in 4k without relying on DLSS too much. I won't skip. I'll get the 5090, then 6090 and so on.

@ it’s just way too much of an upgrade for me. I would have to upgrade my entire system to really utilize the 5090, possibly 5080 I could use but still just to get more frames. I’ll just turn down settings and save thousands of dollars and still enjoy the game. Possibly 60 series I’ll look to upgrade.

The RTX 5090 will be $4,000 Scalpers will get most of them. RTX 5080 will be $2,000 Scalper prices. I have a RTX 3090 i will stick with it hope the RTX 60 will be better. Maybe can pick up a secondhand RTX 4090 if things get better later.

where are y'all getting these wild prices? The best 4090s were $1999, thats +$400 over base pricing. These will be more like +$500 or +$600. None of them will be $3000, even after tax they wont be that high at Microcenter that is. Scalpers will scalp, obviously.

At the end of the day at the high rez say 4096x2160 it ends up being 100-200 Bucks per frame or more (DLAA mode to own a higher end third party vendors card) and or performance gains over what a base Founders Edition can hit the score card with. At least that is the way it has been for the last three generations of GPU's and the performance in video editing is so marginal that it is almost nonexistent as to why you never see the performance reviews on editing/ creation software comparing the third party cards against the FE GPU's little own over clocking them yields an almost 0% gain of stock clocks and timings. Still saying that I cant wait to get the 5090 so i can install the old 4070ti super into my wife's PC. BTW what costs more per wattage.. 12vdc 600w, 120vac 600w or base board heating 240vac 600w? post your best guess.
