This mold thing slowly grow like a sprout, and eventually become a life form, of a tree, in my research about mutation on roblox, the dna will multiply overtime, making them a huge mutation, like freak, abominable, nest, chaser, or more, but this is beyond, a massive life form, with undefined sizes and strength to eliminate anything on its path, and with cherry on top, it can form a minion of its on, depending on its growth stage, the roots will expand endlessly to the sky or surface, and the hivemind will become impossible to found, due to the mutating gas, and diabolical mass protecting it. Fun fact: i dont usually make lore, but this is surprisingly terrifying
