Using this strat I am really consistently getting 3:85... Any guess as to where the timesave I'm missing is?

Sorry that it's a little late now, but I got a lot of 3.85s before getting this time... there could be many reasons, for me I think it was that I was not hitting him as early as I possibly could in the beginning, and after each swing. I hope you can get the 3.81!

How did you kill him in 6 hits it take me 10

I am not sure, it should only take this amount of hits to kill him. It could be that you are using the sword too quickly between hits, he has a period of invulnerability after hitting him each time!
