NWR Flashback Tales S1 Ep.8: Electric Feel

Believe it or not there are electric engines on the North Western Railway who work on the Peel Godred branch line. They work on the line because the grades are too steep for the steam and diesel engines to run on. But with the Blue Mountain Quarry in operation and not electrified, the steam and diesel engines go there with the assistance of the electric engines. However James thinks he could get there with no need of assistance, but he would soon learn.

Yes, and the use of the concept of helper engines, little details like needing to ask for permission from the signal box to go back down the line, and the idea of Gator being better suited for the line (Given that Gator worked up in the mountains of Columbia, is it possible that he was designed with steep gradients in mind and would be better suited for pulling 18 trucks up that grade than James? Or maybe he just likes that run).

This was a brilliant story. James dislikes having help from electric engines and it makes him angry. What I like is how Abbie (is that right?) played a trick on James to help him understand why James needs them. I wasn't expecting James to pull that many trucks though. The part at 6:05 was my favourite bit that made me laugh.

They were just names on the models by Vicarstown Transport Co.
