NWR Storybook Adaptation: Real Friend

Gemma had befriend two girls, named Sonia and Sally, who were new to the primary school near Dryaw. However the new girls were secretly using her to their homework and Gemma's friend Becky saw this happening. She tried to tell Gemma but she refused to listen. Gemma, despite being friends with Becky, is not good at making many as she is shy, but she would soon learn who's her real friend.

Never thought I’d see a story focused on school children on Sodor. This was a nice change. Well done.

I like that the story focuses on the humans of Thomas than the vehicles, it makes the world of Thomas feel more alive. Anyway I like the story here, it’s simple but affective, those two girls who used Gemma to do their work as well as pushing her off Annie had what was coming to them.

The first human centred stoey we have ever seen. This really can help relate to others who have been in the same situation as Gemma. It's wrong to take advantage of someone, and it's wrong to bully them. You should never be afraid to say no. When you have good friends behind you, then you can be brave and do anything.

The part where they used Gemma to do their homework reminds me of the Hey Arnold episode, "Phoebe Skips" where Connie, Maria and the other two girls where taking advantage of Phoebe by making her do their homework after being promoted to the sixth grade.

I have never been bullied before, but I have from time to time felt like I’ve been taken advantage of. I won’t go into it for privacy, although I will say it wasn’t like how Sally and Sonia took advantage of Gema. That said, this hit really close to home. I have had trust issues in the past and still do to this day, due to similar circumstances. Also, I never read the Railway Series Books, as I grew up with the TV series. As a result I often brushed it off. But goddamn this was a great story. How the characters were in corporated how the story flowed, everything. So long story short, I needed this. Great adaptation my friend, you just earned a Subscriber.
