I love how Duke kept addressing Sir Handle by his previous name, what a throwback.

he's senile so he doesn't remember it. he's even able to tell stories from WWII that don't go anywhere. just like when Marvin Marsh used to call Stan 'Billy'.

Or maybe Duke called him Falcon because for so many years he’d always referred to him as that, even when he was left in the shed after his railway had closed. Even after he was found he had always called Peter Sam and Sir Handel by their original names since he was so used to that. Like how Vegeta always call Goku by his Sayian name Kakarot. That was my intention.

@@NWR1991 ok. i was wondering if you can compare Duke to Grampa Simpson from The Simpson. ater all they are both old and are called 'Grampa' (well, in the US dub of TAF the word 'granpuff' sounded like 'grampa' to me).

A great story and it involves Sir Handel and Duke. What a way for Sir Handel to try and take the passengers to Ulfstead Castle. I had no idea that answer at the station by the lake was going to be the flaw in Sir Handel's plan.

I figured it would be something like that. there are some tank engines that would have jurry rigged tenders, but you need to take the front off the coal wagon to shovel the coal, and the ones that did had fairly bi holes cut into their cab. Now, the hole Sir Handle has for letting the shovel handle stick out of his small cab might have been enough, but a tender is more than just a coal truck!

@@bow-tiedengineer4453 couldn't they have put a few sacks of coal in the truck?

Its a really small detail, but I love that since the Ffestiniog is a smaller gauge (1ft 11 1/2ins) than the Talyllyn (2ft 3ins) in real life, you have the two gauges mixed into the line. Yes, in the RWS Duke was the same gauge as the Talyllyn, but it speaks to his Ffestiniog heritage in this!

I believe Duke was built at the workshops on the Ffestiniog railway in 1879? I see now reason way he shouldn't be proud of his heritage

Another good story. A lesson learnt for Sir Handle, the way he tried to prove himself was good. The ending was also very nice.

@@eliotreader8220 As his crew said, it was a time issue. Think how many minutes it takes to top up his bunker And then think how long a station stop is. And that is why they were unable to do it.

It’s mainly the eyes from the Si3D model not working and I don’t want to go through the trouble of photoshopping the eyes into different directions.

In the amount of time it took to park Duke's trucks, couple him to Sir Handel's train, and phone the controller for permission, the crew could've easily shoveled enough coal from the "tender" into Sir Handel's bunkers.
