Well written! I knew there was going to be a story about my favorite silver tank engine~! But there's one thing I'm not so sure about. Stanley is usually a kindhearted engine, but seeing him act cocky is rather a bit unusual and out of character. Still, very good story.

There are a lot of things that confuse me about the time the Great Discovery was set. All the HIT engines were regarded as being introduced before 1955. That means they arrived before Donald and Douglas(1959) or Oliver(1968). But Oliver was in Emily's introductory episode. He'll, I don't think Salty had even been built yet. Then again, I doubt HIT were even aware of the Sudrian Timeline.

I have come to mention a problem with the timeline. The Great Discovery could not have taken place in 1955. After all, this was before Donald and Douglas came to the island.

The story was written at the time during the reboot, hardly any of the writing staff at the time have the complete knowledge of TTTE. Besides in S4 Duck was seen in 'Paint Pots and Queens' and he was never in the original story at all.

@Nathan Fleischman that's one of the questions that I ran into when I discovered that TGD took place on March 4th 1955. Then I realized that perhaps Seasons 5 through the upcoming 22 and 23 (and the specials) of the tvs took place during Seasons 2 and 3, as seeing that Duck, Diesel and Stanley arrived to Sodor the same year(that being 1955). Also Season 23 would take place in 1967, the year Bear and Oliver arrive. In which the Season 3 episode "Escape" takes place in 1967

The wikia says a lot of things that can’t provide source. Mavis was said to arrive in 1962, even though I went with that because because once the Wikia was my only source for my series, but nothing in the books such as ‘Tramway Engines’ or the ‘Sodor Its People, History and Railways’ had stated that. Even though the Wikia says Duck arrived in the summer, nothing has been weighed to support that. Not even the Sodor book or Percy’s book.
