Thank you very much! The company I work for will move to NX 2212 from NX 1980 and the new Feature tamplates are a topic. I am thankful to see a comprehensive and clear guide on how to use them and how to migrate from UDFs.

This looks great. I can’t wait to start using this new capability. It looks much better than the legacy UDFs. Many thanks for the demonstration and the new capabilities!!!

Question: Will deformable parts be updated as well sometime in the future? The UDF and Deformable dialogs are almost identical, so I guess they use the same underlying technology. Am I wrong?

You're exactly right... We're working on that one as we speak. As soon as we release it, I'll post a video here. :-)

Hello Anderson, Can we instantiate these created user template using NXOpen APIs just like we create for UDF? Are APIs to update and instantiate feature template added in NX2206?

Taylor I Have a question regards Replacing Feature template. I Created a Feature Template. During the use, engineers asked for a change. I made a Revision. How can I replace the old revision for the new One?

We would recommend using "Replace Feature" in this case. This should maintain associativity with any downstream features, and provide the replacement mapping tool if there are geometric changes between the different Feature Templates. Additionally, Teamcenter can help you identify all of the parts in which you've used a particular Feature Template (or UDF) in case you want to go back and revisit them. Does that help?
