@@staurtsharman2299 No they are not walsall's new buses as Birmingham City Council helped pay for these Buses on the 51 route, if you look at the side of the buses it shows their promoters and the Birmingham city council badge is on them not Walsall's, they are based at walsall garage because walsall operates the 51 route which originally was a Birmingham based route and no garages in Birmingham serve this route and they were purchased as the 51 traverses the Birmingham Clean Air Zone, so if you have ridden on one you would of noticed the Birmingham city council Badges.

@@peterwilliamallen1063 yes, you're right. They are owned by Birmingham City Council but are based at Walsall Garage. I found that out from Buses Magazine last month. Didn't Perry Barr operate the 51 before Walsall Garage did? They are great buses travel on, but what's happened to them the past 4 weeks. They're not operating the 51 or X51 at the moment I've noticed.

There seem to be big problems with these buses. It is now May 2024, and these vehicles started vanishing off the 51 and x51 routes from last December to early March. They have vanished and reappeared again THREE TIMES since 2020. I hear they are been stored at Tyseley. Not enough charge points for then to run regularly, so they're standing still now.. What I was told. If that's true what a,shambles this is! Will they be ever seen on service again? Waste of money too. The brand new BYD double-deckers have been waiting hanging around too and have been in storage, you've,guessed it, waiting for enough charging points to be installed to power them up too!! Therefore, 21 year old buses that should have been withdrawn from service about now are filling in for them. Latest I've heard is that 40 BYD buses are at Perry Barr waiting to hit the roads. That news,was 2 weeks ago, and they still haven't been seen!

@@stuartsharman3055 The problem with these Buses is that they were purchased for the 51 bus route with money from Birmingham City Council and the 51 was always a Birmingham route originally running from the Scott Arms Birminham Boundry to Birmingham City Centre and was extended into Walsall when the West Midlands PTE took over Midland Red services in 1974 and took over the 118 Birmingham Walsall route renumbering the whole route between Birmingham and Walsall as the 51 and moving this route from a Birmingham Garage to Walsall who's maintainance of Buses was not that good and was the only garage that could dent the roof cowl of a single decker bus and had buses braking down all the while and yet again I recon it is down to the maintainance at Walsall Garage. These Buses and the 51 route should be transfered back to the new Perry Barr Garage

A good video but suggest you edit out delays at bus stops and traffic lights etc. To see it in action enter Scenic Drives, Brighton Pietias 231. He is the only one I know of who edits out delays. It works very well. Greetings from Edinburgh.
