It's sort of funny because over Thanksgiving, my sister's BF is a big Cowboys fan, but I think I was rooting for the Cowboys harder than he was 🤣. The Cowboys of all teams, go figure. And when it looked like we were about to potentially win that Saints game (I think we would have won in OT cause we had all the momentum), I started legitimately getting pissed off. You watch for the same reason I do. You have some hope that a player or two will show you something for the future. I don't mind the losing right now if these guys at least play well. Drafting a QB has probably a less than 50% success rate so you are most likely right that one of the two will be a bust. Look at that Trevor Lawrence draft class. 5 QBs taken in the first round and he only remains with the team that drafted him and I wouldn't say he is having a stellar career up to this point.

Schoen inherited a double whammy - a weak roster and cap hell. Some of the moves that haven’t worked have been grossly blown out of proportion. Others, like not letting Jones test the market, have been glaringly obvious. Where we all agree is that you can’t fire one and keep the other. Also, it’s going to be hard to justify keeping both. Up until this past week, I’ve resisted the blow it up philosophy. At the same time the question becomes, who are you going to hire? The reality of the situation is that we are going to end up with another unknown GM and first time head coach. If that’s what fans want, OK but don’t be surprised if we’re doing this again in two years.
