@@leisureclub_ The solar installer will charge around 60K for the license + meter If the meter is not in your name, then another 18-24K for that (although you can get it done in 12K if you can deal with the govt offices and paperwork) This is what the solar company doesn't tell you: If you don't already have 3-phase wiring then expect the cost to go up very high. It cost me 25k to bring the wire from the DP to my board, and the DP is less than 20ft away.

Installing a Net Metering system is useless. As per my LESCO bill (May 2021) my 10Kva Net Metering system generated more than 1400 units and we consumed approximately 400 units. Although my system generated 1000 units extra, I still received a bill of Rs. 3000+.

I totally agree, the unit cost is so high, and the meter seems to run ridiculous fast. I got 900+ units usage in my first month, in early spring when even ceiling fan isn't on, when in the past I never used over 300 units.

Your system is capable of producing 1400 units, but it does not mean it is really producing 1400 units. Do check your system to ensure the solar panels are clean for optimal production. Also you can check inverter to see how much electricity is being processed. Not everything is corrupt, Sometimes we are misinformed.
