The listener was sitting on the floor bleeding the knight was also bleeding she saw the listener and walked towards them, she sat down beside the listener and held their hand and said "I love you" the listener then says it back as they looked at her eyes, the listener then hugged the knight tightly as tears fell down their face, soon after the listener passes away in the arms of the knight. The knight knowing she was going to have the same fate as the listener, she held the listener's body until her last breath... They died at each other's arms

Is it concerning that my body and mind instinctively violently rejects any positive feelings? Because I felt like I was about to retch near the end. Here is this person pouring their feelings out, confessing wholeheartedly, and all my mind naturally gravitated to was to immediately leave and hopefully whatever they are feeling would fade away in my absence. I wanted to keep interrupting her, and find any kind of distraction just to keep her from saying what she wanted to say. They'll just be disappointed in the end if we do form a relationship. It's in their best interest if it never happened.
