Totally agree with this sentiment even though I have a Computer Science degree before the [commercial] modern Internet, have had a career in tech, and understand tech foundationally, I don't dig these *CENTRALIZED systems* [that depends on only one company/corporation/organization]! Isn't this called "monopoly" in the olden days?!? Regardless, this is a *recipe for disasters* ... just a matter of time!
