Summertime in New York calls for a day trip out to the Eastern End of Long Island! We head out to Montauk & the Hamptons for a day trip and try and find out what we can see, eat, and do in one day! We were in Montauk 2 weeks ago and stayed at Gurney’s it was pretty awesome. Sadly due to the pandemic so many businesses were shut. We passed by all of these. South Hampton next!

I lived in the Hamptons for a year. I liked it best in the fall. You can actually drive and park without all the crowds. The quality of light changes and the Hamptons first got popular with NYC crowd when artists moved there for the light. I liked Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett and biking South Hampton and Water Mill. I hit the American Hotel in Sag and watched Billy Joel walk around reading menus.The Hamptons are kind of overrated aside from beaches. During the season, you have to shop on Thursday night and stay at home until Monday. Driving to places is hard. Parking when you get there is harder. Lots of jokes about how hard it is to make a left in the Hamptons. Nice video
