The cab driver picked them up from a police precinct in Harlem after being escorted there by police. At that time of night there is less traffic than during the day, and I suspect that they didn’t want paparazzi to follow them to the private residence where they were staying so NYPD made arrangements for them to switch cars from the precinct to throw the paparazzi off. For people from Canada, California and the United Kingdom, being a passenger in a car in NYC would seem daunting and dangerous. I’m speaking as a person who has grown up in NYC and believe me, the subways are a safer option than the streets, especially when you’re leaving a crowded venue. A police escort can take you through red lights and the wrong way up through a one way street. If you’re not used to the city, you’d be frightened as well. Please leave the Sussex’s alone.

Dodi Fayed's father, and this is heartbreaking, fought so hard to prove the Royal Family had his son, Diana, and the driver (who iirc was employed by Mr Fayed, which adds to survivor's guilt) I don't understand why he needed to believe that it was as simple as speeding, an intoxicated driver, and the paps didn't help, but also were not solely to blame. Ok a 2 hour high speed chase sounds suspect AF. 🤦‍♀️ When I 1st heard the story I thought how unfortunate it is, and I felt sympathy 4 them. But now hearing it’s a 2 hour long high speed chase I’m now giving the situation the side eye 😒. He is the Prince so he has a lot more privileges and resources that the average person doesn’t. With there being more than one ☝️ person n the car y didn’t ☝️ of the people not driving call the police and give them there whereabouts, while the driver kept circling a through a mile radius until the police arrived. The non driving passenger could’ve also GPS’S the nearest police station and led the paparazzi 2 the police station. I read that they were being tailed half-a-dozen vehicles with blacked-out windows!! Wouldn’t blacked-out windows prevent taking photographs?! Yellow taxi so the (hired stunt) drivers could see them. Blackened windows for the street cameras so the (hired stunt) drivers could not be identified as such. (Were the cars with blackened windows part of their security detail? Sorry if I got that wrong.)

The speed limit in the city is 30mph and even that is impossible most of the time because of the traffic and people at all times of the day and night. If a car had been followed, several police cars would have got involved very quickly. The driver would be caught and charged at this point I feel this is the woman's way of trying to play up as Princess Diana to gain sympathy. Despicable.
