There's no comparison with the Diana incident. She was a private person who had been out to dinner with her partner and WAS being stalked by an army of photographers. She had disposed of her security when she left the royal family and had just one bodyguard accompanying her. Harry and Meghan constantly seek attention and then complain when they cannot control the narrative. Many celebrities in New York just go about their business quietly accepting that they attract more attention than the average person. H & M however, have to go everywhere with fanfare - 4 SUVs and an army of security people - it's like the Presidents in town.......and then they complain!....... and they wonder why they come across as disingenuous.

As the cabbie said -- there were photographers following, but he never felt unsafe or that it was a 'chase. One of the photographers said it was H&M's driver that was being erratic, zig zagging etc. I find the timing very suspicious, given his lawsuit over Met police protection - and his continued attempt to manipulate his mother's memory for his own ends disgusting. I feel sorry for William - it must be horrible to have your mother's memory manipulated by your own brother in that way.

Many of us in the US are getting tired of being lied to and manipulated. Harry merching his mother is getting old. This press release seems like a play on that. I know this sounds tough, but I lost my mother somewhat tragically and suddenly when I was 13. It was rough, but after a decade, I had processed this trauma and moved on. Harry keeps getting a pass because of this one tragedy. He is a middle-aged man. I thought Brits were supposed to be a tough lot. Seriously, it's time for him to move on and get over it. I am amazed at the media who buy everything this couple put out--without raising any questions or checking into sources. I think the press release put out by them was histrionic and designed as a PR stunt--maybe for his current case or next docuseries. I hope South Park is sharpening their pencils!

If you’re in an SUV with blacked out windows why worry about paps - they won’t get anything. Moving into a taxi was either a big mistake or designed to get the attention she seems to crave. It seems that they are deliberately trying to re-create a specific scene. In order to be chased, you have to be running and clearly to try to do that in New York City means the cars that they were in prior to the taxi had to be the ones starting any type of speed that was Accomplished. It’s ludicrous that a driver who is not totally intoxicated, would actually begin an any speed chase and not just drive at the speed of the rest of the traffic. Additionally, they left in three cars. All they had to do was drive down one of the side streets which are very narrow and full of parked cars and have Harry and Megan in the lead car be first and then the other two cars behind them and all they had to do was stop for 30 seconds the lead car would be long gone, and the paparazzi would be stuck behind the other two security cars, ridiculous situation manufactured to create the illusion of people dangerously pursuing them

I'm waiting for the police report. Blacked out windows on the pap mobiles are great for hiding their identities, but are a strange choice because they make it impossible to take photos. The paps were from BACKGRID, Meghan's favorite paps-for-hire. They hired BACKGRID to take romantic photos of them inside their Frogmore home for their doc. BACKGRID does most of their CA pap shots. Four BACKGRID paps supplemented the the two paps outside NYC's Ripple of Hope red carpet walk before the Sussexes got out of their limousineThe random woman on the street who witnessed what was said and done at the beginning of the chase has been previously I interviewed by the press as a Meghan fan.

While courting the media and being a public figure comes with significant financial benefits and ego gratification, it also comes with it the RESPONSIBILITY to familiarize yourself with local laws and geographic realities and develop a security plan that can accommodate those things. Have these two never been to events in Manhattan or experienced it’s traffic congestion? Do they not understand that choosing to stay in a private residence mere blocks away from the event’s venue makes it highly likely that the press will be able follow you there? Although his mother's death was terrible for him, has he learned nothing at all from it? Has he nor learned that when it comes to putting yourself in danger, there's not a lot of difference between letting a drunk driver take you on a fast car chase around Paris and getting into a Yellow Cab with an unknown driver who could have kidnapped them all - or worse - or driven just as dangerously as Diana's drunken driver did?? And what role did Hertz play in return for having their Logo everywhere and Meghan wearing a dress in yellow, - Hertz's corporate colour. How many taxi cabs did they use because we have seen photos & video of them exiting the taxi cab in front of the Hertz storefront sign and then getting into their SUV? Backgrid issued a statement along with the NYPD. They reviewed witness testimony from 4 freelance paparazzi who were invited to capture images of the couple at the event and at a restaurant after the event. 3 photographers were in cars and 1 on a bicycle. They submitted photographs and videos. What is Meghan Markle hiding? Please show the photos of Meghan & Doria exiting the taxi cab in front of the Hertz storefront sign. They are leading the press to believe they flagged down a taxi at the NYPD precinct. The photos clearly show them at the Hertz rental store. The taxi driver stated he dropped them off after a 10 minute trip around the block. Why did they flag down a taxi at the Hertz entrance when we clearly saw them walk through the paparazzi at Hertz (who they called) and enter their SUV vehicle. So did they ever drive away or did they just sit there until they got a taxi. The taxi driver corroborated what Backgrid Freelance photographers reported in writing--- 1 of their own SUVs was driving recklessly and was blocking off streets.
