Totally feel you on the LA vs. NY sense of community. I used to live in LA, but have been in the Bay Area for several years and completely agree. I, too, am moving to NY from SF at the end of July. Literally same story. Took a trip in March/April to reset and get motivated, and I fell completely in love. Now I will be moving to the UES. Everything is looking great so far!! Love the view! And NYC! That Elmhurt brand makes a cashew milk that I now use instead of creamer in my coffee. So much creamier than almond milk.

Delays right now seem to be a common theme, and as far as I learned through this long distance moves typically take longer than planned - everyone I spoke to regardless of the moving company said they had delays however some people who had gone with different companies said they had stuff broken/lost which I thankfully had neither. So, at this point I would recommend them but would also advise you to plan for it to take longer than expected ..... just to mentally prepare! The movers themselves were GREAT and all of my stuff came and in perfect condition and so for that, I would recommend them.
