Oh yeah, these ladies don't know the language, have no job skills, have no place to live, and no money. They can't legally get work, and going through the welfare system is long and arduous even if you know the language. It is a recipe for disaster...also didn't they decriminalize (essentially legalize) pr*stitution here in nyc? I know they did this with armed robbery. Which is no longer a felony...and the bail laws were changed. So they might see one night in jail.

40 years? Speaking as a former Latino and Asian mobster, they didn't stand all over the streets back then. They were all on the second floor that had red curtains. I used to go there to get some free beers while buddies took care the business. Places that had ladies all over the streets in NYC were few blocks nears time square , 3rd Ave near East village and a few loosies near the warehouses by WhiteStone expressway in Queens
