Something I've learned from watching your videos that I really appreciate is the importance of resting enough, when it comes to building strength. I followed those kinds of videos w 20 or 30 sec rests for so long and always felt bad about myself cause I got tired and couldn't keep up. Or I had to reduce the weight. Now if I do follow one of those videos, I just pause them and take the rest I need. So simple yet it makes a huge difference. So thank u for videos! I've learned so much ❤️

Oh, whoa! You put this out right at a time where I've been thinking a lot about supersets and rest times, and specifically with Kayleigh Cohen's workouts! I've been doing one of her core ones pretty regularly, but I just started to rest 1 minute between every exercise due to what I've learned from you. I've also added time on to each movement to progress it, so I pause the video and count in my head. I feel like my workouts have really leveled up since watching your videos. So all that is to say, thank you!

Loving Vlogmas! It always gets me in the mood to drink coco and listen to cheesy Christmas music on Spotify. ;) Anyway, thanks for telling us how you would restructure these KZbin workouts. I love doing at-home KZbin workouts because I don't like the gym and I do better if I have someone talking me through it, but I know that the structure is often flawed, since they try to program for 30 minute sessions. Showing us how you would structure them has been very helpful to me when it comes to getting stronger. I always remind myself to pause the video for longer rest breaks, and I can definitely feel the difference. Thanks, again.

I was doing Kaleigh's workouts until last month. I agree with your issues, especially not having enough rest to lift heavy. Her split videos are better and she promotes healthy movement practices generally. I feel like i searched all of YT to find people who are not doing muscular endurance training and didn't find what I was looking for either. I bought Sohee's Year of Strength book and now I'm doing that for my strength workouts and only using YT for cardio & yoga.

I was hoping you'd review kaleigh! I do her workouts when im in between programs or i don't know what to do. I like her energy, but as you pointed out the rest is so low you can't recover enough to really life "heavy". It's pretty much how most of her workouts are structured. I think the most rest I've seen between individual moves is 40 seconds. So excited for vlogmas ❤

Your facial expressions during the workouts are priceless 😂 I tried a lot of different workouts on KZbin in the last years and a lot of them are really stupid: random excercises, very short breaks, instructors using light dumbells and almost no explanation, no why, no how. By the way I love this style of VLOGMAS!!!! I was so excited to see that you did Kaleigh Cohen and April Whitney! So April Whitney was one of the first people besides (Gaines by brains Free workouts on KZbin) that I bought a program from. I use the app. so basically it’s $50 a month. I did it for a few months the at home version and It was not video/follow along Version. It was like a program, but I stopped because it was so expensive. I guess the good things was that it was the same workouts every week. She never did switch them up and I did them for I think 7 consecutive months. I learned a lot from her from different strength exercises, but they were super long workouts anywhere from 1hour or more and lots of exercises. It was 2 years ago when I did this program. I definitely would not repurchase it. I started doing Kaleigh Cohen from someone I knew and honestly liked it and did her for about a year. Her upper body/lower body workout are better but she normally only did 2 sets for each exercise which I thought was strange. Then recently you reviewed a workout with cee cee and I have been doing her 3x repeat workout a week and I love her and the structure! I feel like she can actually write a program. Thank you for all your videos. I have learned so much from you!

Absolutely agree with all the issues you pointed out in the workout. Thats the same problem i have with them. Hence i slowly moved out of doing them and started with your programs. Have definitely seen so much improvement in my strength post that and somehow that has also helped in my endurance too. I don’t know most of the YT workouts are all 10 to 15 different exercises with little to no rest. I mean you program 30 to 45 min workouts too but with limited exercises, enough repetition and rest time for us to progress and lift heavy so i dont understand why all of them choose to program these workouts this way.

When you say that you will “lose strength” this month, is that because a workout like this doesn’t allow for proper recovery and/or the ability to lift heavy? Love your videos! 🎄👍🏻🎁
@JustinaErcole4 күн бұрын
exactly! for instance in the second workout of the video, we did chest pressing for 45s on and 15s rest 3x through. 15s rest between sets doesn't allow for nearly enough recovery time if you're working for strength. so typically for 10 reps i'd use 35lb dumbbells, but would need about 90s of rest to do that again. in this workout I would be better off with 20lb dumbbells since there's little to no recovery time. hopefully that makes sense!

I’ve done lots of Michelle breihler not so happy with a lot of her comments about burning calories/fat etc but I mostly now enjoy her cardio workouts now. I’ve found that almost all creators say that workouts are “strength” or “muscle building” and there’s essentially no rest. I think trying to rest 2 minutes in between would just seem really long for viewers so they keep the rest really short.
@JustinaErcole4 күн бұрын
i really loved HER and her vibes, but yeah the zero rest is mind boggling to me. even like 30-60s with some strategy would be great!

You know what... I'm Polish. Us, Europeans, are much less focused on being "nice" or "positive". Honesty is not bitchy, or at least doesn't have to be. You have the right to be pissed off at someone wasting your time. I really don't think we need to be positive about everything.
@JustinaErcole4 күн бұрын
I needed to hear this. I get told a lot I would be more successful if I was “nicer” all the time. It gets to me, so this is lovely to hear ❤️
@catgato58034 күн бұрын
@@JustinaErcole Bear in mind I live Poland and am surrunded by grumpy people 😉 we actually even get suspicious when someone is "too nice" or nice all the time 😂 But in all seriousness, you have a strong group of followers also because of how real you are, without the bs or sugar icing. Would you be "more successful" (what does that even mean?!) if you were "nicer". Maybe. But you would also be "more successful" if you lied to your audience. So...
@apfelmus17473 күн бұрын
I'm Austrian and 100% agree with that! For most people I know Americans come off as super fake cause we're not used to this over the top positivity and niceness over here. So to hear an American just pissed off or something would be quite refreshing :D hope that makes sense.
