Oh wow! What a way to start my morning! Thank you ActionKid! It's been over a since I've been on a subway. There isn't a subway or a train anywhere near my home town but when I close my eyes and listen to the subway noises and the "stand clear of the closing doors please" it really brings me back to my last visit to New York. I really can not wait to go back. I'm hoping in October if the situation is better. Great video and thank you so much!!

High action kid the subway train looks much cleaner now than it was when I left New York City back in 1980 I used to travel the subway a lot going to Coney island and going downtown Manhattan I used to travel all over the Bronx Brooklyn Queens by subway There was a lot of graffiti on a subway trains at that era and too many people packed up like sardines. I used to walk through the carts while the train was in motion... On the first cart I used to see the train operator through the window on his compartment.... Those rails at the end of the seats were not there at that time...the cart train used to be so full that I had to stand up and hold on to the hand hook above the seats as I'm riding a long-standing

POVHFR Videos sadly we think it will take a long time for things to return but the subway will definitely be more crowded. We took the subway last week from Manhattan-to Brooklyn and it was very empty and clean in the morning but it definitely was way more crowded on the way back into Manhattan. The thing that will take a long time to return is small independently owned stores opening as so many have been devastated by the shutdown and then some were vandalized too.

To be honest they're probably going to keep it like that for good - and it's possibly for the better. The MTA has been looking to squeeze as much service out as they can recently, and it's well known that they've been wanting to shut down the subway overnight for a long time. Realistically it saves them money to shut down overnight when they're barely using them, meaning fares will go down. So if you're one of those turnstile hopping animals, maybe your prayers will be answered with fare-drops as a result of this shutdown. And you'll stick to your word and stop hopping after they stop fare increases, like your silly little signs say.

I live in Brooklyn, been lockdown for two months, now they telling us to go back to work... What happened to covid-19? Did the thousands protesting in the streets killed the "deadly virus"?
@Atlas929364 жыл бұрын
Hopefully the protesters do our part and get tested. The purpose of testing isn't to see if we have covid and then treat us, it's to gather data on how the virus is spreading, the numbers, trying to create a visualization. When you can create visualizations and draw insights from data, it can be extremely powerful to advance our understanding. Also it helps us to plan for the future. It's called epidemiology, pretty much the data analyst equivalent for public health.
@larissaandrews78664 жыл бұрын
JP I was extremely concerned and scared when I saw almost every states came out protesting. I support that's need to stop brutally but with COVID19 out there and they are out there too. I was crying scared. Could they have waited until COVID19 is gone or wait for a vaccine?

Because many of them lost their jobs due to the Chinese Virus Hoax. A fake overreaction to a typical pandemic JUST to get a man with guts, no filter, and balls of steel out of office. Too bad it didn't work. But hey, at least now you have a man at the top of it all, who preaches about how he can tell which blacks are real and which ones 'ain't.' Which is funny, I still don't see a single libtard calling him racist, even though he made a directly racist and nasty claim. Somehow, Trump is able to be deemed a racist even though he has NEVER said or done ANYTHING REMOTELY racist EVER, although the guy who says to black people who vote for Trump "you ain't black" is their saint.
@TheRailLeaguer4 жыл бұрын
Henry Black That joke of yours (calling a virus that actually originated in Europe in the case of NYC a hoax, which it isn’t) is getting too old. Plus Donald Trump is not a man with guts, no filter and balls of steel. Rather, he is a complete opposite. He is a fake president with no real competence or skills who spews misinformation and lies and ignores the public good. He basically turned America into a never ending comedy show (and also got us banned from the EU)
@GIJew4 жыл бұрын
@@TheRailLeaguer Not gonna argue about Trump, that's pointless, but it doesn't matter where they think a particular strain of this virus came from, the ORIGINAL one came from China. There is a growing mountain of evidence to support the theory that the virus was manufactured by China as a bio-weapon. Don't believe me? Here are some links you should check out. Nothing against Chinese people when I call it the China Virus. Completely against the Chinese government. www.wionews.com/opinions-blogs/china-stands-accused-of-manufacturing-the-covid-19-virus-319235 en.as.com/en/2020/08/03/latest_news/1596459547_022260.html

Now that NYC has been in phase 4 for nearly 3 weeks (with some modifications), looks like that plan worked. Honestly, if I were the governor, I would just said “Lockdown until further notice”, the announced a reopening plan using Cuomo’s metrics, and broken it down with 6 phases (same ones, but with indoor dining and other indoor cultural institutions last)
