These politicians pretend to be advocate for the people but congestion pricing impacts poor communities the worst = pushing pollution to outer boroughs, making it more expensive for people in the city where rents are all time highs, essentially only benefiting the wealthy. MTA is the easy scapegoat. This is just to get more money to pay pensions and 3rd party contractors. They had already = increased the of cost tolls + costs of parking fines + costs of fares, and allowed dispensaries to open to collect millions in taxes, and increased taxes on citizens ... and still not enough? WHY would anyone CHOOSE to live like that? I've been to NYC, drove in with my68' VW Bus. Broadway was a worse road than those in Basalt, Colorado. MILLIONS of people stacked on top of each other like rats. And the size of them! Both people and rats, huge! The Cost? The miserable weather. Traffic? Parking? Toll roads and bridges? The Cost? Are you kidding me? I'd rather live in Hawaii with less people, cleaner land, warmer, free heat/parking/bridges and no toll roads, parking enforcement, meter maids, meters, city tow. Living in a botanical garden, with koi ponds. Keep your big apples, I'm a stay with my mango acres.
