Thank you I'm tired of these employers hiding behind the closet waiting for you to get to the location and do the interview before they hit you with the downfall

They want you to go through the arduous and lengthy hiring process only to tell you they're paying you minimum wage.

It's disgusting that it has taken this long for such a law to be made in NY. This should be mandatory at the federal level with stiff penalties for employer's that don't comply. Shame on America for allowing potential employees to be deceived.
@containedhurricane2 жыл бұрын
It should apply to other states as well, because it could save the recruiters and the applicants a lot of time. No need to conduct a job interview if the salary expectation is too high
@surfntrucks2 жыл бұрын
This is actually a cool law. A lot of employers would ask “salary expectations.”

Don’t see how this won’t be circumvented. How will you know if your counterparts aren’t being paid more?

👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 finally my last job said the paid rate changes after training and it never did , I was so desperate I just delt with it but it was so heartbreaking and unmotivating Btw: The job advertised $25 an hour and it was NOWHERE near that pay ...
@thomasstecyk7922 жыл бұрын
Yes, when you take a job and you are on call twenty-four/seven. Do you get paid more or do you have to keep up with my time? Or am I my own time keeper. Do I get paid for timekeeping? One job at a time. Like, cleaning and driving. Or counting palates and driving. What about time off for baby leave? Paid, I would think so the baby has to eat. Mom and dad have to eat pay a mortgage/rent. None of the day-to-day expenses stop. When you are sick. Nothing stops. Nothing stops whether you are dragging your head around the office or not. Fifty years and still working out the kinks.

This shouldn't even be a new thing...people are suppose to know how much a job pays before applying, that way no need to waste time hoping for an interview for a job that would pay less than their current job.

I think the law should be for a quote for Day One, Half Year, and Full Yeara.

I thought they been doing this?
@kbluewater2 жыл бұрын
hey kanye was telling em hold up ya contracts and now the city made the same law...
@DominicMazoch2 жыл бұрын
Better law is that one should be told their job applications have been rejected with a few weeks to a month after applying.

Lol this helps kids be lazy. Compare and shop for jobs.. how about hard work, that is what is missing
@tapytc2 жыл бұрын
How are you going to say on one hand "this helps kids be lazy" and on the other "compare and shop for jobs." What are they supposed to compare and shop for if they don't know what the salaries are, you goof? Do you go to the grocery store and buy things without checking the price? Of course not. You're probably a conservative or Republican, I bet.
