Thank you for recording this, your view is amazing. I personally love thunderstorms & I was glad to be able to film my own videos of this incredible storm. The ASMR on this though is hella relaxing & it’s going in my playlist 🖤

Nice storm. Believe it or not, the storm had no effect on that night’s Yankees game. That was largely because the Yankees were playing the White Sox in Chicago.

Those buildings are so strong, the windows too, I lived 50 years in NY Queens, living in one of those "boxes apartments" and I never feel afraid of thunderstorms, whatever it's strength, I felt secure, until I moved into a house in Tx. What a difference!!

Hey John chu are those bulidings nearby Nycha developments and which one are they because I work for Nycha in Brooklyn myself. Awesome video, plenty of wind, rain and spectacular lighting and veryyyyyyyyyyyyyyy intense thunder to boot.

Great that you uploaded this. I recorded the same storm with a single omnidirectional mike, thunder being omnidirectional unless one is in an area where there are echoes. The difference in sound is interesting.

I'm a big fan of binaural sound----and with the age of KZbin and viewing on mobile devices with headphones.. Binaural stereo sound is a natural way to convey a you-are-there effect.

I'm using translation. It is interesting to estimate the distance based on the time from thunder light to thunder. It's interesting, so please try it once if you are afraid of lightning. 雷光から雷鳴までの時間を元に距離を推定するのが中々に面白いですぞ。 雷が怖い方も一度お試しください!

I was thinking that 3d is also an interesting way to record weather- snow will be awesome. I remember seeing some rain drops with the Lenovo footage and it was pretty neat. Too bad low light is not strong suit with the Lenovo.

Great footage! You caught what I was in the middle of.. I am going to upload my video of this storm in a week but I think it broke a world record in the number of cloud to ground lightning strikes up close in under one minute because I caught 3 consecutive cloud to ground lightning strikes up close from this storm in Brooklyn in under one minute, each one 5 to 10 seconds behind each other, NWS should of had Brooklyn and queens under a severe thunderstorm warning, Long Island got hit hard too I heard, this was truly one of the biggest lightning storms I have ever caught on film ever since I've been filming, no other one of my videos could match up to this storm! This was a really big lightning storm we had!

The sky would not stop lighting up. It only stopped around 10:30pm for me and I’m definitely going to look out for your video.

DivinityzBeAsT LOL. That pretty cool. Here in Florida lightning is like 0.2 seconds apart. 2 of my trees(one in front yard and one in the back yard) have been split and shredded by lightning. I do like these city storms though, they offer a cool view of lightning.
