I've never been alone but we have always felt safe in NYC. We aren't big "nightlife" people so we were always back in our hotel by 9-10pm and always felt safe on the streets!

We LOVED the hotel- we found a hard time finding nice, clean, modern NYC hotels for around $300-$35/night and Arlo absolutely blew our mind in the best way possible. Super friendly staff, clean/beautiful rooms etc. Keep in mind that with most NYC hotels the rooms will be VERY small but that wasn't an issue for us since we don't spend much time in them. We found the hotel to be in a great location in terms of Midtown- it's a touristy area in general but abit further away than most of the other hotels so it was quite quiet at night but also super close to Times Square and other tourist attractions. Overall I'd highly recommend it!

My hotel room in Toronto was the same price and it was not nearly as nice 😅. We also had to book it last minute because originally we were staying a friend’s, and he found bedbugs in his apartment 😅. It is also something I always check for in any hotel cause I’ve had some myself in my uni apartment and I lowkey have trauma from it 😅. Which btw you can get anywhere even at fancy hotel.

How does a weekend in NYC compare to one in Toronto?

Not sure, I've only been to Toronto once so I can't say! I've never really had an interest in visiting Toronto honestly because I feel like everyone does/it may be overhyped. But I'm heading there for a business trip in April so we'll see!

Levain cookies are way too sweet. They have the "Maman" French bakery chain from Canada here in NYC and those cookies are MUCH better. Nice and thin and chew in the middle but crisp on the edges. Perfectly cooked with high quality chocolate.

We all have different taste buds and enjoy different things! I don't get why people feel the need to always comment that they didn't like something- I loved Levain cookies so much and found them to not be overly sweet! To each their own ♥️🍪
