I have lived in New York and Atlanta. Both, like every other place, has pros and cons. But the cost of living in New York is ridiculous. Another thing I like about Atlanta and the surrounding suburbs is that it is very diverse and no matter what type of community or social life you're looking for, you can find it.

Lived in NY for 65 years …. Retired last year 34 yrs Working Transportation System.. Everything she said is correct.. except i found most People here are more approachable and Friendlier … although , i do not live in Atlanta, i stay in a small town call Conyers 😅!!

New York is nice, BUT Atlanta is nicer 🎉 with better perks. I lived in NY happy, but now in ATL i am super 🎉🎉 happy. Amen!

Yes NYC cost more to live, however NYC is in its own category. Atl v NYC are not equal comparisons. You’d have to put up COL with evenly matched cities. 8 million vs 500 thousand. Comparing NY to Atlanta COL is like comparing Atlanta to Tupelo, MS

It really depends on your situation in your Life … Most of what she said i found to be true .. however if you are a young person Living in NY .. it pays to work there and get the income,Benefits of New York … and then Retire to an area of the country ( not only Atlanta) that is less expensive!! Much of the positive things that she said is applicable to certain areas of Florida,North Carolina , as well.. Bottom line .. Do your own research and remember .. There is no perfect STATE ! Lived in NY for 60 yrs… Retired in GA in2023. So far i like what i see in GA .. however , i still go back and forth to NY for certain things ,

Don’t move here. We are full!! Like seriously 😂 plus I’m a realtor here with Keller williams. Overpriced housing / Apts , traffic 24/7, you’ll be competing with 500 candidates for one job … ask yourself do you want to be a big fish in a small city or small fish in a big city. We have lots of New Yorkers here. You’ll be fighting everyday just for a parking spot. Look at crime. Been here 10 years.

Yes! These crazy drivers speed down the street, jump lanes with no signals, no sense of how to keep up yards, don't understand covenants, and love to compare the two.

False. Atlanta is far from full. People say this to push those away looking to move to Atlanta. Whether you like it or not Atlanta is changing at a huge rate. Demographics are changing and will continue to do so. This is what happens in a hot market. I am beyond excited to call Atlanta home in July!

@@NICOGIA300 If you move into an HOA please ask for your covenant and take into account that our traditions, rules and expectations are different. You would love North Fulton, Kennesaw, Alpharetta, Forsyth County.
