Nyce1s - Topo's 9 Second Street Driven Mazda RX7 From NYC....

We recently caught up with Topo and his RX7 as he prepared the car for the upcoming season. He's installed a new Precision Turbo on the car over at Full Time Fabrication in NJ. Then he went out and ran a couple 9 second passes at Englishtown and drove it back home. Congrats to him. This is a real street car that runs.

It is good to see that the people of New York don't mind noise, they only seem to mind their own business. Driving a track car on the street has it's advantages. The engine gets a good break in before heading to the track. Many racers tend to take their newly rebuilt highly modified engine to the track without the parts setting in. They think the few runs they had at the dyno is a proper break in. That is why many engines break on the dyno. They don't drive those few thousand miles of normal driving first.

takis659 I have owned 10 RX-7's since 1996 of all generations. Took a break for a while because I just got sick of motor rebuilds/issues. My next RX7 will have an LS swap lol
