Before removing the house side cap on the house trap why not run the trap from the outside side of the house trap and keep more of the mess inside the pipe? Keep up the good work man.

The customer is also in denial about the bathtub/shower tile situation. It looks like they tacked up a section of swimming pool liner on the wall to hide the peeling tiles. The duct tape around the faucet handle is a nice touch. 🤣🤣

That is pretty interesting. I don't think we have seen a check valve yet on the channel here before in al the videos. If this old check valve realy will work in case? If there is backflow becuse of heavy rain or a blocked sewer line on the street there will be a lot of pressure. But it looks to crusty and kind of rotten to me - perhalps the rubber seal eaten by ratty and not replaced for decades...
@NYDRAINS3 ай бұрын
I highly dout it. It doesn't look like it was serviced in years.
@polarbear17543 ай бұрын
The corrosion of those pipes looks like it would be a problem with catching paper (or God forbid, wipes) Do you ever use a chain head on your "snake" to clean up the rust deposit? Or is it even worth it?
@pauldurkee47643 ай бұрын
That's a good point, all those sharp rusticles could do with grinding down.
@NYDRAINS3 ай бұрын

Are virtually all of your jobs done in basements? Does soap scum come from using powdered soap/detergent, or does liquid detergent cause it somehow?
@pauldurkee47643 ай бұрын
I very much doubt liquid detergent would be the problem, its the lumps of powder that don't fully dissolve, perhaps they are washing at too low a temperature and the soap powder is not dissolving.
@NYDRAINS3 ай бұрын
Most of them, not all. Powdered soap usually builds up faster than liquid, and water flow plays a big role as well.
