... doggy bed .. have seen where behind the seat is filled and that is where pup rides .... made me laugh when your voice changed "No child labor here" .... sure could see how those points wear, the worn end compared to the second, flip end .... rarely get sick, but if I do it's the don't know if you be sittin or talkin to the big white phone and then it is sleep till I wake, generally 12 14 hrs .. when I was a kid it was about every year now it is about every 3 or 4, maybe longer ... glad you are feeling better ... thx for sharing .. as always .. never stop dreaming, just dream bigger .. have fun be safe, save our oceans ...

Oh that is a nasty cut Claudia, I don't recall ever having one quite that bad but I certainly have had some cuts due to working with worn plough bolt heads, they are nasty dangerous items to work with and I will try to wear a glove on the hand that holds the head down. I have also used the rounded end of a ball pein hammer pressing against the head etc. Part of the problem arises from a bolt that exposes too much thread out the rear after the nut is tight, that thread gets damaged over time and its a battle to get undone the next go around, I feel your pain and so have most farmers experienced that same slice and dice !.

when my wife gets sick of farming i bought her a welder... told her to go make something of all the scrap metal around the farm, we got a ll the scrap from the fields around us as i added a few heavy duty magnets on the back of the rakes, now i have a yard full of.... well... scrap things... if you want to stop losing bolts, wrap some PTF tape around the thread and then put the nut on, it will keep the nut as tight as it can...

Hi Claudia, it only took me one time to have a used plow bolt spin on my finger, I use a hammer now to hold the bolt head down.

Yes indeed, it only takes one time to learn not to hold plow shear bolt that's worn and very sharp with your fingers. Especially when you're using an impact wrench cut my finger almost to the bone. A hammer works great.

flexi gloves in the right size aren't that annoying, and can actually make things easier because they give you a better grip. Use them all the time in the shop. Well worth it to keep all your digits intact

Lock washers can prevent the nut from vibrating loose off the bolt............... FLAT WASHER / LOCK WASHER / NUT - IN THAT ORDER. A STAR WASHER CAN ALSO BE USED. Finally, a torque wrench can be used to set the pressure (psi) on each bolt/nut. SO IT STAYS PUT.

I find Motrin works best as its an anti-inflammatory and you can alter it with acetaminophen every 4 hrs or so, it got me through a pretty rough case of COVID-19 and the Motrin always made me feel alot better whenever I took it.
